PSD’s Mike Turns, Director of Energy Codes and New Construction Programs, was recently published in the June 2019 issue of AESP’s Strategies eMagazine.

The article – entitled Energy Code Support: The Next Frontier for Residential New Construction Programs – discusses the context, mechanisms, and dynamics to achieving energy savings with energy code compliance support through an energy efficiency program model.

The article describes case studies of energy codes and standards adoption, including utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs in several markets throughout the US.

While the article focuses on residential new construction (RNC), similar opportunities exist in nonresidential sectors.
