The Mid-Atlantic Regional Chapter (MARCh) of the Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP) met on Tuesday, November 5th, to share creative approaches and strategies to marketing and customer engagement in energy efficiency programs. The event was held at the PECO headquarters in Philadelphia, PA – a city renowned for its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency and was attended by 58 energy service professionals, representing utilities, ESCOs, implementation firms, marketing companies, local utilities, City of Philadelphia employees, and many other professionals.
Key topics that were covered by the panelists included: The City of Philadelphia’s vision for energy efficiency and conservation; recruiting commercial trade allies; developing effective marketing techniques in mature vs. adolescent small business direct install programs; the effectiveness of small business partnerships in the grocery market segment; and targeting the small business market segment.
