Performance Systems Development (PSD) and Sustainable Finger Lakes will support the Ithaca Green New Deal through a performance-based grant from the Innovative Market Strategies program at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). This partnership will support the installation of high-efficiency heat pumps in 100 lower-income rental units in the City and Town of Ithaca. PSD will underpin the project with energy and performance modeling software developed with support from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and NYSERDA to increase the building owner’s confidence in savings and optimize contractors’ decarbonization investment.
